The event scheduling reflects the location with the end of September start date and the daily session timings. Temperatures in this period are 28-34 C during the day and cooler in the evening: at the Seville 1999 event it was close to 40 C during the day and mid-30s during the evening – unlike 1999 the Marathons and Walks will be held at the coolest time around midnight. The programme is compact with just one stadium session per day to travel to / back from. Fans will have plenty of time to lie-in after any late finishes with time to relax or sight-see.
