The European Athletics Team Championships evolved from the 8 team Europa Cup to the new format with the top 12 European nations competing in a joint men and women’s competition.
The 2014 event is being held in the Russian provincial town of Cheboksary 660 km east of Moscow on the river Volga and our options are based upon flights to Russia via Moscow before connecting to domestic flights to Kazan or Cheboksary.

We are anticipating a smaller group than usually attends this event but we are working with the same agent that we used for our very successful Moscow 2013 World Championships programme.
CHEBOKSARY TOUR PACKAGES:
Option 1: Fri 19 - Mon 22 June 4 days / 3 nights - a weekend package in Cheboksary.
Packages in 4* hotel from £399Option 2: Thurs 18 - Mon 22 June 5 days / 4 nights - this package includes staying in Russia’s third capital, Kazan a centre of Muslim & Christian culture on 18 June. Its Kremlin is a World Heritage Site and the city is the capital of Tartarstan - a unique opportunity to explore the rich culture and history of the heartland of Russia. Depart Russia on Mon 22 June. Option 3: Thurs 18 - Tues 23 June 6 days / 5 nights - this option includes a visit to Moscow for one night in addition to visiting Kazan and Cheboksary departing Russia on Tues 23 June. The Moscow visit can also be extended by extra nights.

Russian Visas will be required in order to travel to this event - a visa costs £82.40 plus any applicable application agency fees.
FLIGHTS TO MOSCOW, KAZAN & CHEBOKSARY
The most direct flights to Kazan & Cheboksary are via Moscow. The only daily direct flights to Moscow are ex Heathrow with BAand from Gatwick with Easyjet. BA flights can be booked through to Kazan with One World partner carrier S7 / Siberian Airways. At the moment local carrier Rusline that flies to Cheboksary has not confirmed fares or schedules for next summer so connecting flights cannot currently be booked. The BA / S7 combination allows luggage to be checked through in transit via Moscow but the Easyjet flights do not have this advantage – luggage will need to be collected in Moscow and re-checked in for connecting flights.
