The 11th European Athletics Junior U23 Championships are being held in the Polish city of Bydgoszcz. The Zdzisław Krzyszkowiak Stadium played host to last year’s European Junior U20 Championships in a newly re-built 21,000 seated stadium. For this event we coordinated an enjoyable travel programme for many athlete’s families and athletics’ fans. Many of the athletes at this event will compete again at this year’s London 2017 World Championships. The city’s picturesque location on the Brda and Vistula Rivers offers an enjoyable European break combined with top class athletics.

Direct flights from the UK to Bydgoszcz are limited. Ryainair operates a ‘daily service’ from only London Stansted airport. Other direct flights are from Birmingham and Glasgow but these are not daily (see flight days below). There are also indirect services from Heathrow and Manchester with Lufthansa via Frankfurt, but again is not a daily service (see below). If flights do not operate on your preferred travel date/s or looking for possibly a cheaper airfare an alternative could be to fly direct from Stansted, Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds Bradford, Manchester or Edinburgh into Gdansk Airport and take the train to Bydgoszcz (2 hours).
