*T&FT Rewind No. 46 – Emil Zatopek
The golds he won in the 5,000m, 10,000m & Marathon (his debut) all in Olympic records in Helsinki in 1952 confirmed Emil Zatopek’s status as an all time great. He had won the 10,000m gold and 5,000m silver in London in 1948 and held both these distances world records.
