This summer’s WMA Championship event is being held in Lyon the culinary capital of France. The competition is being held in four stadiums across the city and we are offering a choice of three accommodation options that are well located for travelling to these venues using the metro line D that is the central spine of the city.

Arrangements will be tailor-made for athletes and family and friends based upon a limited selection of properties so that clients can share their event experience with friends rather than be spread across the city with its numerous hotel options.

Any duration of stay can be catered for as we appreciate individual travel requirements will vary.

The Hotel Mercure Lyon is located within a short walk of the Monplaisir-Lumiere metro station with direct links to Place Bellecour, the old town and all four event venues – the perfect location. Complete with en suite bathrooms, air conditioning, free Wifi access, a safe and tea & coffee facilities. There is a bar & restaurant and a garage for an extra charge. Visit the Institute Lumière and take advantage of the sports club just 500 metres away.

Each apartment or studio also has a kitchenette, equipped with hot plates and a microwave. The studios can be twin or double bedded. The one bedroom apartments have a separate living room and a sofa bed for extra persons if required. An optional breakfast (£5 pppd), private parking and a spa with sauna, hammam and hot tubs are available at extra cost. The residence also has luggage storage in reception. If you are arriving by train, Lyon-Part-Dieu Train Station is a 10-minute metro ride from the property and Lyon Saint-Exupéry Airport is a 25-minute taxi ride away. A few mins from the Mercure.
